ABOUT US

 - Mission

Circle Enix’s mission is to develop an innovative device to achieve solutions and sustainability towards local wildlife populations and conditions. Our main goal is to create a device that allows us to identify endangered wildlife populations for example birds and environmental effects and hazards.

- Company Views

Our vision is to improve the environment and living conditions of local wildlife and sustain endangered species, we hope to achieve this globally allowing us to identify potential hazards in environments to act quickly to reduce/prevent damage, improving the living quality and safety of humankind also.

- Goals

We will be preparing our prototype product for the flowing 12 months, to be showcased at the Birmingham city ‘Innovation fest’. This will be done by showing the device capturing screenshots when motion is detected and uploading it to us soon to be made to be website. These updates will be live and constant as long as the device and connection are operational.

- Product

The prototype of our product ‘Bird is the Word’ will allow motion detection of wildlife when set up in a high-up point to detect birds. When motion is detected a screenshot will be taken and uploaded to our website in real-time. While also detecting heat signatures with an infrared camera detecting any fire hazards in the environment.

- Features

Our customers will be able to review the information we receive from analyzing the data we have collected from these devices on our website. As our product can detect wildlife depending on the way it is set up it can be for niche purposes like ‘Birdwatching’ or live feeds of wildlife activities by clients.

- Product Solution

The solution our product aims to solve is to track the hazards and conditions of the environment. While also keeping track of the population of endangered species of animals which will mainly be birds for the time being. With our environment detection, we wish to aid companies in detecting these issues and taking measures in order to prevent them beforehand.

- Target Audience

This product will be aimed at a variety of consumers from big organizations to ordinary people. It will mostly be aimed at people seeking change in our nature and ecosystem. Extinction, poaching, and even human-caused disasters are the main reasoning for the development of this product. If issues like this were not to be addressed, it would lead to thousands of species extinction. We have already seen a high number of extinct species with thousands more currently endangered.

We defined a sustainable and technological approach to the issue at hand that would gather a large amount of interest due to its uniqueness. With the use of a sensor, the device will smartly take pictures with the connected 180° infrared camera of any particularly given scenario and that will be sent straight to the website that will use database automation.

In the future, we would like to present this to big organizations that could see a use of this product in a widespread manner to help with their global operations. Displaying such data will aid in raising awareness of how we can tackle environmental sustainability.  An organization such as RSPB can find a lot of success with the use of the product. We will particularly seek organizations that work in the given sector to aid and help with wildlife sustainability and ecosystem sciences.

- Market (Competitors/Adjacent Products)

Bird-watching communities are hard to break into, some veterans have been photographing birds on forums for years and sharing gorgeous pictures making it intimidating to post anything worse. Along with that, even a good starter camera will run you around £200 at the very least, it is a hefty cost for something you might realize is not even for you. It is hard to know where to start when you are trying to pick up a new hobby, however, we feel like our product can help guide newcomers better than other communities on the market currently.

Our product can help tackle these issues by providing a cheap entry-level camera along with a network of amateur birdwatchers to help ease newcomers into the hobby and keep track of the bird populations! While other fairly cheap motion-activated cameras could be repurposed for birdwatching, having ours linked together with the website could not only promote both products but also welcome beginners and make them feel like they are part of a community, it is something the other products could not offer to them.

As mentioned before, it can be scary submitting your photographs onto a birdwatching community next to professional and edited pictures, meaning it could gate newcomers off from the website. By making our community seem inclusive, we think it will give us a leg up against the already established forums, Facebook groups, and online communities we will be competing against.

I'm currently studying computer science at Birmingham city university where I have expanded my skills on computer programming with the language python where we were given challenges as part of our coursework and then told to make a bank system replica in python for the big assessment . In computer systems we were able to use raspberry pi and tinker card to build replicas such as smoke alarms and alarm systems and then in website development creating a website based on html code and design in adobe XD that we had learnt.

During the pandemic I was working at new street station in helping customers deal with their problems advising them to wear a mask for the safety of the staff and other people around them and also telling them to follow the one way system that was put in place so people would not collide with each other and therefore have a chance at spreading COVID 19 so we wanted to limit that . Furthermore I did regular patrols of the area to make sure it was safe for staff and customers down on the platforms to check potential threats and report them on the radio to the supervisors . I also worked in the taxi rank and the car park taking note of all customers and staff that had parked and making sure their cared were safe

Studying a computer science degree at Birmingham City University to further pursue my goal of becoming a potential software developer. To achieve this goal this course will provide me the skills and mindset of a true programmer with vast understanding of data structures and algorithms using various programming languages such as Python, C++ and Java.

I have previous knowledge in C# as I was a part of a group that created a game being a 2D side-scrolling platformer and I am still currently developing my skills and further understanding of HTML, CSS and Python. I consider myself as a hard worker that is not afraid to take on challenges as they can help acquire me new skills.
